Fees for some classes and fees for some books. It’s become more common in Montgomery County public schools and Delegate Kumar Barv wants to put a stop to it. So, he says he’ll introduce a bill, when the MD legislature returns to session, to ban fees statewide.

Mosquitoes found in Gaithersburg last month are the first in Maryland to test positive for West Nile Virus. The state’s Secretary of Agriculture says it’s not surprising and it’s a reminder to protect yourself.

There’s not very much new here, but the Washington Business Journal has a review of where things stand with development plans for Shady Grove Metro and Snouffer School Road and the GE Development Park in Gaithersburg.
